The engine runs well - being a single carb, original Autolite 1100, she starts up on a cold day within a few cranks - but when she's running she runs well - able to keep up with the flow off traffic even after 52 years.
I have replaced or added the follow since I've owned her: new rear leaf springs? new steering linkages? rebuilt the steering
box? new shocks all around? rebuilt the brakes, drums, shoes, cylinders and hardware? new dual bowl master brake cylinder? new starter? new fuel pump? new fuel sending unit? new starter cylinoid in original factory position? new plugs, new wires, new distributor cap and rotor.
No points to adjust - electric ignition. new headlights - Ford logo? new exhaust, 3/4 - kept original down pipe from exhaust manifold? new exhaust manifold? rebuilt the carb - new floats, gaskets and pins? Sourced a factory original AM radio - all in working condition. 8,000 miles on the tires. new steering wheel and pad There might be more I am forgetting, but you get the picture - I have taken good care of this classic.
