1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 428 Ram Air Super Cobra Jet with original 4 speed and 3.91 Drag Pac.
One of one with this combination, complete with De Luxe framed Marti Report. Equipped with power front disc brakes, close ratio transmission, Traction Lock rear axle, louvers, rear deck spoiler, black hood stripes, AM radio, tinted glass, tachometer,
rim blow steering wheel and more. This beautiful Bright Red with Vermilion Clarion Knit vinyl seats Mach 1 has gone thru a 10-year rotisserie restoration where all numbers, chalk marks and paint daubs were carefully noted during tear down to then be reapplied.
Details such as the week, day, shift and initials of the technician building the Rug manual transmission were saved! The previous owner decided to go with a color matched floor so the bottom is as beautiful as the top! Since the whole car was restored back to better than new, he reset the odometer and the car only has 811 miles since rebuilt. The original block was drag raced back in the day so it has been replaced with another
428 block. The original CJ heads are retained with the original exhaust manifolds. SCJ Oil cooler is in place as are the dual side by side horns. This car has a stunning paint job in its original color with a deep clear coat that has been sanded with 2500 grit and machine buffed to an incredible luster.
Interior is impeccable with all original colors. Trunk, engine bay, undercarriage are all of equal high quality and the Magnum 500 wheels with BFG tires are brand new. Your head will be thrown back in the seat from the awesome power of this machine as you easily shift thru the gears and there is plenty of stopping power from the front disc brakes.
